Parent-Teacher Group (PTG)

PTG Meetings

Dover High School PTG meets the first Monday of every other month at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria prior to Mothers Club meetings. Everyone is invited to attend meetings, as volunteers are needed in every area. Meeting dates for 2016-2017 are:

  • October 3, 2016
  • February 6, 2017
  • April 3, 2017

Goals

  • To provide support to DHS students, administration and staff
  • To act as a communication liaison between parents and school
  • To recognize and honor outstanding achievement of DHS student body and staff

  • Assisted with class fundraisers
  • Served refreshments at special events including National Honor Society Induction Ceremony
  • Contributed to student scholarships
  • Decorated bulletin boards for info and student recognition
  • Provided staffing at Book Fair
  • Provided microwave and fridge for teachers' lounge
  • Purchased library paper racks for storage of decorating supplies used by students and staff
  • Encouraged display of student art projects in library
  • Provided National Honor Society locker magnets to new inductees
  • Assisted with the development of the academic Hall of Fame
  • Donate annually to the PTCAB Student Scholarship fund
  • Sold hot chocolate at the bonfire during Dover-Phila week
